2025 in Review and the Year Ahead
2025 was a great year for everything Monkeypit and I’m thankful for all of you! It's been a bit since my last update, so I figured I should let you all know the state of the union.
This year, I got back into the swing of things with my acrylics and found my sea legs again. Looking back, I created 11 original acrylics surprising even myself. It's always fun watching the acrylics come to life and getting real-time feedback from the Twitch crew. Or when I decide to go in a completely different direction and paint over stuff, half of my audience freaks out... so that's fun.
I also exhibited my art at my first show in a while, teaming up with AngstChild at the Mad Monster Party expo in Phoenix. The amount of interest in my art was inspiring; I've never sold so much of my artwork! In addition, I topped 1,200 followers on both Instagram and Twitch. I also managed to launch my online store so I feel like I have a bonafide web presence now. There were truly a lot of "firsts" this year.
Which brings me to the new year... 2026 is going to be even BETTER! I'm planning more in-person shows (more details in a future blog post) and meeting more folks face to face. I love being behind a computer, but I feel like the best way to market my work is to get out there. I have a goal to create even more acrylics (with at least a few on a larger scale).
As you may have noticed, I haven't been Twitch streaming lately. I ordered a new computer (and had to RMA it, but that's another story) which is beefier and will allow me to improve my streams. So I've been spending the holidays also rearranging my office... a new desk, an area for larger paintings, and just trying to organize in general. My workspace will be much improved and I won't feel so cramped (hopefully).
So thank you all for your continued support. I have some other objectives for 2026 including my newsletter, potential gallery/publication features, and some additional push to market myself more. I'd also like to thank AngstChild for helping me out this year (he's not just a Twitch moderator everybody!). I really do appreciate your contributions (envision Benny Hill slapping the old guy on the head... that's AngstChild).
So buckle up, 2026 is about to become even more interesting for Monkeypit. Have a Happy New Year everybody!
